Home Run Derby

It is time for the Home Run Derby (HRD) and we've set the afternoon of June 1 for the competitions. We will host an official HRD for Little League players aged 10-12. These players can qualify to go on to the state competition and see how far they can take their slugging ability.

But we also want this to be a fun day for all our players, so we've created HRD competitions for ALL AGES from Tee Ball to Adults so everyone can get in on the action! Each division winner will win a $50 gift card and of course, bragging rights!

We expect to start around 2:30 p.m. for the younger divisions and progress to older players during the afternoon. Specific start times are below and participants should plan to register and sign a waiver form on site.

If you plan to participate in the APLL and Woodlawn Home Run Derby, please register at this Google Form site.

Tee Ball - will use a tee and we will record who can hit the ball the farthest before it hits the ground.
AA - will be coach pitched or use a machine. We'll measure for the longest distance that they can hit.
AAA - will use a machine for pitching and we will measure longest hit distance to win.
Little League Baseball/10-12 - will follow officials rules (see below) and use a pitching machine
Intermediate - will use a pitching machine to see how far they can hit
Juniors - will hit on the 300' field, use a pitching machine and see who can hit the farthest
High School aged players - will hit off a pitching machine on the 300' field
Adults - will hit off a pitching machine on the 300' field

Come early to watch all the competition, but please arrive 30 minutes before your age session to register and compete the waiver form*
*ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST COMPLETE WAIVER FORM BEFORE COMPETING
